About the Show:
When Elwood P. Dowd starts to introduce his imaginary friend, Harvey – a very tall rabbit – to guests at a society party, his sister Veta, can no longer tolerate his eccentricities. She decides to have Elwood committed to Chumley’s Rest, a sanitarium, to spare her family from future embarrassment.

It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play
This December, Standing Ovation Theatre invites you to return to Bedford Falls for a special presentation of It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, directed by Donna Bane.
Experience the beloved story of George Bailey, Mary Hatch, Clarence the guardian angel, and the friends who remind George that no one is a failure who has friends. Presented in the style of a classic radio broadcast, the production will feature actors bringing the story to life while sound effects are created live onstage.
Auditions will be held November 1 and 2, 2026.

Performances will take place December 18, 19, and 20, 2026.
Please note that this is a special non-season fundraiser production. Season tickets and season ticket benefits cannot be used for admission to this show. Every ticket purchased helps support Standing Ovation Theatre and our continued mission to bring live theater to the community.
